Days Off!!

Hey Everybody!

Well, my 3-day weekend has come and gone, but not without a fair share of adventure!

Friday was spent at Animal Kingdom. Our focus was Kilimanjaro Safari & Finding Nemo the musical! I walked around with Amanda and Crystal, banging on african bongo drums and screaming on the "Dinosaur" ride. It was a great (hot!) way to spend the day!

Friday evening was spent enjoying appetizers and dessert at "Jiko's", a very nice restaurant inside of the Animal Kindgom Lodge. [Sticking with our animal theme for the day =)] This was our chance to get dressed up, which all of us really love to do, and enjoy a nice evening out in celebration of....SURVIVING!

Saturday consisted of Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom. Mason, a fellow K-Stater, loves old movies and after watching "Singing in the Rain" friday night, Amanda and I thought it would only be fitting to go on the "Great Movie Ride" =) We also watched Beauty and the Beast and of course road the Rockin' Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror!

That evening Mason and I headed over to Magic Kindgom to enjoy the spectromagic night parade and "Wishes" fireworks display above the castle- hands down my favorite thing here at Disney! We also met a really funny, opinionated cop from New Jersey who must've thought we looked like poor sappy college interns because he bought us an ice cream sundae to enjoy during the fireworks =) I love when little fun things in life like that happen!

YEP, I WORK HERE!! --->

Sunday ended up being kind of a lazy day, which is always nice! I made breakfast for all of the girls and lounged by the pool, surrounded by palm trees....not a bad afternoon :) Sunday evening some of my roomates and I headed to downtown disney just to walk around and grab some ice cream. I have this "Minnesotan" accent that I talk with a lot down here so we had fun narrating the tourists we saw walking around....Sarah, you'd be proud of how great my "drop dead gorgeous" accent has become! Must be the fact that all of my roomates have ridiculously awesome accents....... !

Yesterday was my first official day of work without the "earning my ears" ribbon! This meant I was completely on my own and I absolutely LOVED it. There was something really liberating about knowing that I could just interact with the girls myself =) I also got to pick up my first set of tips, aka, rose petals. Here's a little of the BBB lingo I have to use while I'm at work, I think you'll enjoy them :)

Rose Petals= tips, 1 rose petal for every $1
I'm going to the wishing well= I'm going to the bathroom
I'm headed to tea= I'm going on my break
Have you had a cupcake today?= This is a sign that there's a "hot dad" in the boutique...strange, i know!
All the cookies are baked= used at the end of the evening to say that all the princesses are done
Pumba= used in a lice case
I'm off to feed the horses= i'm off work and going home!

Now you'll understand if I use those terms hahah!

Last night we threw a little 80's party =) Pretty much these theme parties are just an excuse for my roomates and I, as well as a few others, to get dressed up...something that we all love! haha. Anyway, it was a really fun night. Yesterday I finally made it over to cast connection, the amazing disney discount store, and found the sparkly headband and glasses I wore last night =)

Whew, I guess it has been a busy couple of days! I miss you all lots and I hope everything is going well =)
