I'm Here!!

Whew!!
What a CrAzY 48 hours it's been! I am sorry for slacking, internet and time have both been very scarce to say the least. As you can see, it's 2am and I have a meeting tomorrow at 9am so this post may be a little short until I get some time tomorrow afternoon =)

I arrived in Orlando last evening. As my plane was making it's descent into Orlando I began to have a lot of anxiety. Within a moment I looked out the window to see a rainbow shooting out of the cloud right near the wing of the plan, which happened to be directly perpendicular to my window! Within a matter of seconds, the rainbow was gone, but what an awesome reassurance that this is where He wants me!

I spent the evening with my great uncle mike and aunt cathy.  You will be hearing about them as well as their kids (now adults!) Chris, Trevor and Mandy as I get the opportunity to spend time with them while I'm here :) I had a wonderful night with them, they were such great hosts after a LONG day of traveling with 180 POUNDS OF LUGGAGE. Yes...my little muscles hauled that much weight !! =)

Today started very early with check in to the program. After a crazy morning of ID cards, housing meetings and paperwork, I was able to move into my 4 bedroom apartment with 7 other roomates! Crazy, I know! The apartments are nice...we've had some bug and cleanliness issues to deal with today but in true Laura and Kylen (my roomate) fashion, our room is colorful, eclectic and completely put together!

Tomorrow I am going to walk around the complex to take pictures of the outside and inside, and I'll also introduce you to each of my roomates and their rooms!!

BY THE WAY: There are lizards EVERYWHERE down here, I am so stunned!!! I want one as a pet but my roomates say no. [See picture for excited lizard face]

Today I made my first official grocery trip EVER, big step, I know =) Kylen and I went with Mason, a fellow K-Stater! Three overflowing carts, three interns... 1 jeep = an interesting ride.

 I

Tonight I enjoyed an awesome  dinner with Kylen's wonderful  family at a restaurant called Bongo's in Downtown Disney. We spent the rest of the night sorting out our room and finally...it looks like we may get a little sleep =)

Thanks so much for your prayers, things are super busy so I am grateful I have this site as a way to keep in touch with all of you!!

Stay Tuned for : Private Tour of Chatham 13101!!!

Laura
